Cultural information can be meaningful, private and contested. Sungano is designed to store what families choose to share, show who approved it and avoid turning software into an authority on lineage or identity.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Read Sungano’s cultural integrity approach to totems, clan names, praise names, family language, ceremony terminology and human review.
Sungano does not infer a person’s totem, ethnicity, clan, praise name, family origin or compatibility. It does not use cultural identity to rank couples, make marriage decisions or create automated claims about a family.
Identity and translation fields can remain drafts until a trusted relative or selected reviewer approves them. The reviewing person, date and visibility setting can form part of the record.
The platform recognises Zimbabwe’s linguistic diversity, but additional language experiences should not be activated simply because machine translation is available. Native-speaker review, accessible presentation and ongoing correction are required.
